Come out and meet other local runners for great camaraderie and motivation. Some of us jog, some of us run, some of us race, but we all have fun! The key is to show up and give it a try -- the sooner you come out and join us, the sooner you will be on the road to fitness, health, and meeting lifelong running friends!

We used to be P. A. Running Opportunities Plus. Based on feedback from the members who come to the runs, now it's Running Around The SanFranciscoBay (RATS). It's mostly running. Mostly. #1. We are run by volunteers that schedule and lead a run from time to time. That is our meetup, active volunteers and organizers. What ever organizers like to do is what we become. (Let me know if you want to try and lead a run and see if you'd like to be an Asst Organizer). #2. We plan to also host a wiki page …

Hello Girls! This group is for women in Walnut Creek and the neighboring suburbs, who are new in town or would just like to expand their group of female friends. This group is comprised of girls in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. We have a variety of activities such as: brunch, happy hour, movies, trail walking, hiking, dancing, just to name a few! THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT WE ASK IS THAT YOU DON'T FLAKE WHEN YOU RSVP. Doesn't it suck when you make plans with your girlfriends to go to the movie …

This group is a "sister" group to East Bay Walkers (run by my brother Mike). We're a group of 30's/40's/50's hikers who want to get some exercise and explore the Bay Area on moderate hikes that are 2 to 4 hours in length. Most of the hikes will be on well-developed trails, and will be geared-toward the novice to intermediate-level hiker. Experienced hikers are also welcome, and we'd enjoy learning about some of your experiences. Note that the main intent for the organizers of this group is to ge …

Welcome to our Meetup page! I started this group to bring together local West Marin folk who enjoy staying fit and want to meet new people. I moved to Bolinas about 2 months ago and have been finding it increasingly difficult to drive "over the hill" for social activities. So I decided to try and create a community of fitness-minded people right here at the coast, where beautiful trails and vistas abound. What to expect I plan to put 1 or 2 runs on the calendar every week. Runs will be in Bo …
A Runner's Mind is the new running shoe specialty store in Burlingame. We have Thursday Night Runs every week at 7pm beginning and ending at the store at 1199 Howard Ave., Bgame. This group is for everyone! Races are held every 4-6 weeks and are sleep-in-and-enjoy-your-weekend friendly (races start at 2pm). Food and drinks are provided after each race, along with zany and useful prizes for the top competitors.
There are so many hiking groups, but I wanted to start a group for runners like me that prefer to run the trails than the streets.

We are a group of intermediate to experienced runners who like to keep our runs social! If you're a newer runner or coming back from injury, we welcome you to join us for a few miles as you are able. The majority of our runs are on the trails in Marin, with some road running and track workouts. We also do destination runs in the East Bay, Sonoma, and San Francisco. Our run mileage varies from around 5 miles up to 20+, but runners are always welcome to adjust mileage shorter or longer. We em …
A chance for true beginners to meet up and go for an easy run/walk without having to worry about being intimidated by speed and distance! Coached and led by Charles Yoakum, you'll pick a distance from 1 to 3 miles to go, and work on breathing, pace and simply putting one foot in front of the other to get a workout! It all started as a way to combine getting a run in at my favorite micro-brew pub, and now I'd love to expand it further! We'll use this group as a way to do our Iron Springs Pub Runs, both winter and summer, but also to introduce more training runs, both trail and road, both on the streets of San Anselmo, Ross and Fairfax and the trails of Mt. Tam!
We sponsor 2-6 hikes/events per month, ranging from beginner level to very advanced. While our primary focus is on hiking, camping, and backpacking, we also do other outdoor adventures - mud runs, zip lines, kayaking, white water rafting, skydiving, paragliding, rock climbing (indoor and outdoor), 4-season mountaineering, skiing/boarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow/ice climbing, scuba - if it's an outdoor sport we're all over it! The goal is to make new friends while enjoying the …

These mission-to-mission walks are open to all who enjoy nature, art, history. And walking. Though many of the walks are between 16-22 miles, they're set at a reasonable pace and are easy to train for. Why'd You Start the Group? Long story short: In March 2011 I walked 330 miles of the Camino de Santiago, a 1,200 year-old pilgrimage route in Spain. I lived with very little for 3 weeks. I experienced nature, art, and history. I met people from all around the world on the same simple quest - to r …

The people in this group live around the Sunset in San Francisco. And we like to run! Sunday afternoons are the usual meet for a good distance run. We will have at least one run on weekends. We will also have other times of running throughout the week, most often in the morning. If you're in your 20-30s (or do enough yoga), you're probably capable of this, right? So join us! Do it, because you'll love it.

A group for runners who love the trail but can't always make it to the hills. We turn city runs into trail runs. We add hills, stairs, beaches, piers, bridges and anywhere we can to turn boring distance runs into something a little more fun. Any one can organize a run, anyone can join a run. Have fun and run your little legs off.

This is a group for anyone interested in running, training, jogging, walking, hiking with others along the beautiful trails and hills in the Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont. All skills levels are welcome. I started this group because I realize that training or running alone is very difficult and can be very unsafe. This is also a group for those training for a marathon or half marathon or any other distance event. I have run 16 marathons and several half marathons and I can help you get to …
