Hi North Bethesda runners! I want to re-vamp the way this meet-up is structured so that it will be more conducive to everyone getting out and hitting the trails with each other. I am not sure what the best method for making the group more robust, and therefore I am very open to any ideas of how we could figure out ways to meet-up and schedule runs. The way that we've done it in the past is I've suggested and scheduled a run (we usually had a weekday evening run [though I stopped scheduling th …

Our Group: This group centers around the lifestyle of running and hiking/walking with our dogs and enjoying a high-end sudsy beverage — and increasing awareness of how dogs are true partners to humans. Extra Fun: Among our everyday events you'll find the random dog-friendly event that doesn't have anything to do with a run or a hike, but likely a beer or some wine. Keep an eye on the group as we develop something new and exciting in the running community! Supporting Service Dogs: Currently, t …

We are a group of animals with human faces, and we run barefoot. We do not care about being fast, lean or tough. We run in the woods, our soul is plain and our paws are bare. Join us and find what animal you are ! (ahem:) We also do outreach to new runners and/or new barefoot runners. If you can walk barefoot, you CAN run barefoot. This is not an extreme sport but an increasingly popular way to strengthen your body and prevent injuries caused by bad running form. Contact the organizer if you are …

This group is for those who enjoy long, tough hikes. We organize our own, unsupported hikes as well as take advantage of ultra-hikes that are organized by others. While not a trail-running group, this group hikes fast. There are other groups in the area for novice hikers and those more interested in moderate length & difficulty hikes. Most of these hikes will be dayhikes, but I just changed the name to not exclude overnighters. I've changed the zipcode for this group to Columbia. I live in Balt …

My plan is two go on a group walk/run a few times a month, maybe more if we can, along the NCR trail (or anywhere else someone may have suggestions) and then maybe snack somewhere after?! Open to all pregnant women!

The bear spies them and begins running toward them at a full gallop. One hiker drops his backpack, sits down, throws off his boots, and starts lacing up a pair of running shoes. The other hiker …
We're a group of walkers. If we can walk to our from it, we'll go there. Some walks are more rigorous than others, but this is primarily a social group that moves. Events range from visiting parks and trails in DC Metro area to walks to events like a museum exhibit or show. Events are volunteer run and are not guided tours. Instead, we tour the sites together and just enjoy each others' company. So turn off the TV, take in some fresh air, make new friends and have fun! Read more About us here: …
