For anyone interested in running rough terrain, including major elevation changes. Flat, hard surfaces are not for rough runners. This is for relaxation + hard exercise in the outdoors - so it is non-competitive, and at times a little walking in big elevation changes. But also not for the faint of heart - figure 15-25 minute per mile pace depending on terrain/average 18-20 min/mile. We'll pick locations and distances to suit the group and day, approximately every two weeks to start.

After a lifetime of "someday" I'm committing to getting out there and running a full 5k. I'm a beginner, and I know there must be other beginners out there who could use the support and socialization that a group could provide. No matter what your skill level, let's encourage and support each other to run/walk some 5ks. I'm interested in local trail running as well as registering as a group for 5ks. We can meet at local parks and break into smaller groups based on fitness level if we need to.
A group welcoming all those who express interest in multisport races like triathlon and duathlon, and also express interest in other endurance endeavors like ultrarunning, ultramarathons, marathons, and trail running. Looking to start a new running club in New York.....
Once a week at Noon, we'll head out from the Starbucks in White Plains (across from the Galleria) for a 4-8 mile run. Most routes will involve running on the Bronx River Parkway, either north to Kensico or south to Hartsdale/Scarsdale. Our target pace will be between 7:45 minutes/mile to 8:15 minutes/mile.
