The Virginia Happy Trails Running Club is composed of people who like to run on dirt trails. Though based in northern Virginia, most club members live within the metropolitan DC area, with several others scattered in many other states. The club members are of varying running abilities and ages. Many run ultramarathons, but some don't run at all. The VHTRC holds a monthly training run -- we call it the "PB&J run" because we love post-run snacks as much as we love the runs themselves. (Participant …

We are a group of animals with human faces, and we run barefoot. We do not care about being fast, lean or tough. We run in the woods, our soul is plain and our paws are bare. Join us and find what animal you are ! (ahem:) We also do outreach to new runners and/or new barefoot runners. If you can walk barefoot, you CAN run barefoot. This is not an extreme sport but an increasingly popular way to strengthen your body and prevent injuries caused by bad running form. Contact the organizer if you are …
